Here’s some guild wins for you!
DGA AWARDS
Best Director: Ben Affleck, Argo
Harvey Weinstein bangs his head against a wall, knowing that Argo has got the Oscar in the bag.
THE ART DIRECTORS GUILD OF AMERICA
Period: Anna Karenina
Fantasy: Life Of Pi
Contemporary: Skyfall
Looks like Anna Karenina has worked its way to be Art Direction frontrunner. And while Life Of Pi’s success confuses me, I can hardly complain. Any award that movie wins is fine by me.

Voice Acting In An Animated Feature: Alan Tudyk, Wreck-It Ralph
Writing In An Animated Feature: Wreck-It Ralph
Editorial In An Animated Feature: Brave
I kinda wish that Rise Of The Guardians had gotten more awards, but I can hardly complain that Wreck-It Ralph won best Music. Give the soundtrack a listen, you’ll be surprised. And Alan Tudyk for Voice Acting? Oddly enough, I think that great voice acting in animated movies seem to come from villains, like Teri Hatcher in Coraline or Ned Beatty in Toy Story 3. I think that Jude Law from Rise Of The Guardians gets my vote.
