Personal Post: R.I.P. Roger Ebert

Film critic Roger Ebert died today at the age of 70.

On the offchance that you don’t know who he is, Ebert used to work with fellow critic Gene Siskel, comparing and contrasting their opinions of movies, and had since become known as America’s best loved movie reviewers. Siskel died in 1999, and was eventually replaced by Richard Roeper, who is still reviewing movies today. As for Roger Ebert, he continued reviewing but eventually was diagnosd with cancer and ended up losing his voice. He continued reviewing movies on his website, but sadly lost his life today, leaving a gap in many film lovers’ hearts.

He will be remembered forever.

Gene Siskel (1946-1999)
