School has been making those last few weeks pretty hectic on me, but I have time to look at the oscars now. So what trailers came out the past month?
Most prominently is the trailer for Monuments Men. This looks like a mix between Inglorious Basterds and Argo, and it seems like the kind of movie that wins Best Picture. But will it? A lot of early frontrunners, don’t make it up to the stage at the end of the year. But if Monuments Men doesn’t win Best Picture, what will? Wolf Of Wall Street? They gave Scorsese his oscar seven years ago. Her? Too obscure for the academy. American Hustle? May be too similar to Silver Linings Playbook. The film that seems to have the most buzz is 12 Years A Slave, so as of now, that’s the one i’m predicting.
Also, we have Dallas Buyers Club. I’m excited for this one. Looks like it could easily bring McConaughey and Leto nominations.
