My rule is that once an Oscar Predictions post goes up, I don’t change any of my predictions. That way it can stand the test of time. ‘This is what I thought back in July, boy was I wrong’

I’m not going to change any of my predictions. You’re going to have to wait for August for new ones.

This could be our Best Picture winner.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of trailers, we recently got a trailer for Wild. This looks really good, and Jean-Marc Vaillee knows how to make actors give great performances. The problem is, actors who have to carry a majority of the film by themselves tend to get nominated, but they seldom win. Look at Tom Hanks in Cast Away, James Franco in 127 Hours and Sandra Bullock in Gravity. So while I’m confident that Witherspoon will be nominated, she won’t win.

But this does look like a serious threat to current frontrunner Amy Adams. When is Big Eyes going to get a trailer?
