The film will get a limited release on October 16th before getting a wide release on November 6th – which is the same day as Spectre and The Peanuts Movie, so I doubt it’s gonna make that much money. But all we really care about is the Oscars, and this time slot is perfect for the Academy.
Speaking of time, we also have a runtime. The film will be 118 minutes long, or 1 hour and 58 minutes. Incidentally, remember that I’m predicting that the film will win Best Picture. Guess what – 5 Best Picture Winners (How Green Was My Valley, Gentleman’s Agreement, From Here To Eternity, The Silence Of The Lambs, and The King’s Speech) all had that exact runtime!
Oh, yeah, you’re all underestimating Room right now. But when the nominations come out, I’ll be there to say, “I told you so.”
I hate to say this to you buddy, but I’ll be SHOCKED if this gets even one Oscar nom. I see a Spirit nom for Larson…but that’s all. The film and story look good, but this is probably going to be too dark/small for Oscar.
But I’ll let you tell me so if it pans out.
Oh its on.
@Andrew How how wrong you were back then!!
