So, here’s the thing. I have virtually no idea what’s gonna happen in the Oscar race. I also don’t know what to say in this update, because hardly anything has changed. So I’m gonna do this a little differently than normal. I’m just going to explain the slight changes that I’ve made, before presenting my updated predictions in their entirety.
Here are the changes.
* How To Talk To Girls At Parties was pushed to next year. I removed it from my Costume Design predictions and replaced it with Love & Friendship.
*After Suicide Squad was panned by critics, I took it out of Best Makeup. I put in The Masterpiece instead.
*I’m starting to think that Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk might stand a chance in Visual Effects. I added the film to that category, replacing The BFG. The Visual Effects category could turn out to be a two-way race between Billy Lynn and The Jungle Book.
*We now know the names of songs from La La Land and Moana.
*I added predictions for Best Documentary.
