Well, maybe the academy is tired of being called unoriginal, or maybe it just really likes to make us angry. Whatever the reason, their hearts or their shoes, they announced their makeup shortlist, and what did they choose? No ‘Cloud Atlas’. Is this some kind of joke? Even if you didn’t like the movie, you can’t deny the makeup. Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and all the rest went through hours in the makeup chair and the Academy is failed to be impressed. Is the Academy just going “Hmm, actors playing characters of different ages, races, and sexes? Nah. Joseph Gordon-Levitt kinda sorta looks like Bruce Willis? BRILLIANT!”

All joking aside, I also want to bring up ‘Hunger Games’. Not only because of the realistic wounds as our tributes get injured, but also because of the Capitol’s over-exxagerated Lady Gaga look. Oh, and Peeta’s camoflauge.
