Well, there are quite a few odd parts about this shortlist. Leaving off Man Of Steel? Okay. I would hate to see that movie as an Oscar nominee anyway. But Catching FIre? That had some brilliant effects. And what about The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty? I somehow doubt that the film will be a serious Oscar contender. I believe the nominations will look something like;
