Okay, so the PGA Awards were last night, and there are three awards that we care about here.
BEST DOCUMENTARY: Life Itself
BEST ANIMATED FEATURE: The Lego Movie
Aw, a nice little consolation prize for the snubs in their respective categories. The only downside is this doesn’t have much of an impact on the Oscar race. Documentary is going to Citizenfour and Animated Feature is going to either Big Hero 6 or Dragon 2. It’ll be interesting to see which way the Annie awards go.
BEST MOTION PICTURE: Birdman.
Okay, this is huge. The PGA awards are great at predicting the Oscar. They’ve only been wrong 6 out of 25 times, and that’s including last year’s tie. This is very good news for Birdman, but we’ll have to see which way BAFTA and SAG go. This is getting to be very intense.
CONMAN AT THE MOVIES 
It has to go to Wes Anderson….
I think even those who aren’t crazy about Budapest might remember the production design of Wes Anderson’s entire filmography. Yet another reason why Anderson is my predicted winner.
