2016 Let’s Predict: Best Documentary Short

From now on, I won’t be jinxing myself about the order I do these in. Because the BAFTAS threw a curveball in the Film Editing category.

I am so behind on my Prediction articles it’s not even funny. I’m gonna try to get through these as quickly as I can, but it won’t be easy.

At least I’ve actually seen four of these!

5th Most Likely To Win: 4.1 Miles

About Aleppo. I personally found it boring.

4th Most Likely To Win: Watani: My Homeland

The only one I haven’t seen. Apparently it’s also about Aleppo.

3rd Most Likely To Win: Extremis

This one I loved. But the subject matter doesn’t seem important enough.

2nd Most Likely To Win: The White Helmets

I found this one kind of dull. It could win because other people like it, but I don’t think it will.

MY OFFICIAL PREDICTION IS:

Joe’s Violin

This is an inspiring film about a holocaust survivor that also deals with music and an african american student… this is pure Oscar catnip. This is exactly the type of thing they go for.

You really can’t tell with the short categories. I’ll try to get another prediction article up later today.
