Fun fact: No WWII movie has ever won this award. And this is the film’s only nomination. And nobody seems to care about the film in general. This is the #5 choice. Period.

4th Most Likely To Win: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

This would be #5 if it weren’t for Allied. The Academy has never embraced this franchise, and I don’t see any reason why they would start now.

3rd Most Likely To Win: Florence Foster Jenkins

At least this film will have some buzz going into Oscar night. This will probably get some votes. But let’s be honest, this is a two-horse race.

2nd Most Likely To Win: La La Land

On one hand, this movie has the sweep factor going for it. But it has to draw the line somewhere. Contemporary films hardly ever win this category. And after CinemaSins mocked this nomination, (“They’re just wearing clothes!”) I’m starting to feel that it won’t win here.

As you can see from the photo, the filmmakers went to great lengths to recreate famous outfits worn by the real Jackie Kennedy. I think that this film makes the most sense out of the five nominees. But make no mistake – Best Costume Design will be one of the most nail-biting categories of the night.
