So, I have a confession to make.

In the past few years, I have started to display a keen interest in video games. Life Is Strange was the game that convinced me just what this medium can do. In fact, I’ve even had thoughts about starting up a second blog where I talk exclusively about video games.

But for now, let me just share my predictions for the BAFTA Game awards, which are happening

BEST GAME

Overwatch
Stardew Valley
Titanfall 2
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

While Uncharted 4 isn’t quite the masterpiece that The Last Of Us is, it’s still an incredible game and I will be shocked if anything else wins.

BEST GAME DESIGN

Battlefield 1
Dishonored 2
Inside
Overwatch
Titanfall 2
The Witness

It’s tough, but I’m gonna go with Inside as the winner in this category, seeing how beloved it is.

BEST NARRATIVE

Dishonored 2
Firewatch
Inside
Mafia III
Oxenfree
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

I think this will be another award that goes to Uncharted 4.

BEST ORIGINAL PROPERTY

I hope that Firewatch takes this. They usually like to spread the wealth.

BEST PERFORMER

Troy Baker as ‘Sam Drake’ in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Alex Hernandez as ‘Lincoln Clay’ in Mafia III
Cissy Jones as ‘Delilah’ in Firewatch
Navid Negahban as ‘Hajj Agha’ in 1979 Revolution: Black Friday
Nolan North as ‘Nathan Drake’ in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Emily Rose as ‘Elena Fisher’ in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

This one is Nolan’s to lose. Personally, I’d love to see Emily Rose or Cissy Jones take this, but I don’t think they have a realistic chance.

BEST ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT

ABZU

The Last Guardian
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Unravel

Any of these games would make fine winners, but I feel that Inside is the one to beat. The art style of that game is arguably the best thing about it.

BEST AUDIO ACHIEVEMENT

The Last Guardian
Rez Infinite
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

I think that Uncharted 4 will win this, because this game has a lot of exciting sounds. But don’t underestimate Trico’s vocalizations in The Last Guardian.

This is my ‘no guts, no glory’ prediction. Uncharted 4 could very well take this, but I have the strangest feeling that The Last Guardian has a shot.
