Could Argo be the first Best Picture without a Directing nomination since Driving Miss Daisy? Maybe the Academy doesn’t think a director starring in his own movie has merit in their book. I think that everyone else has already talked about Argo‘s chances at winning. But one thing is for certain: this is one of the hardest years to call in recent memory.
