Hmm. The last two years, they got the best Picture winner right. I would be excited to see the Academy embrace such a diverse film, but let’s see what happens.

I really hope that this one doesn’t become the frontrunner. 13th needs to win the Oscar.

BEST ACTOR: Casey Affleck for Manchester By The Sea

Obviously.

BEST ACTRESS: Isabelle Huppert for Elle.

Upset! This may or may not end up meaning anything.

BEST SCREENPLAY: Moonlight

A little surprised that this won instead of Manchester. We’ll just have to see how this does with Oscar.

BINGHAM RAY BREAKTHROUGH DIRECTOR AWARD: Trey Edward Schultz for Krisha.

Dang it. I was really rooting for the Daniels. Hopefully they get to win something for their remarkable achievement.

BREAKTHROUGH ACTOR: Anya Taylor-Joy for The Witch

I can’t really say that this category makes much of a difference. I hope she has a fine career ahead of her.
